Press Relase – Inauguration of Expansion Québec’s new business offices in London

François Bouilhac, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Expansion Québec, today participated in the inauguration of Expansion Québec’s new business offices in London in the presence of Québec Minister of the Economy, Innovation and Exports Jacques Daoust, Agent-General of Québec in London, Stéphane Paquet, and Martin Le Sauteur, CEO at Acquisio.

“Expansion Québec is a major partner of our government that is fostering growth and the rapid development of Québec exporting firms. Through its sixth subsidiary in the world, this innovative, dynamic organization is bolstering its support for Québec companies that wish to capture new markets and broaden their presence abroad,” Minister Jacques Daoust noted.

The organization offers Québec SMEs that wish to set up operations abroad tailor-made services in respect of domiciliation, office leasing and guidance for executives. The services help accelerate the establishment process and minimize the attendant costs and risks.

Acquisio has concluded an agreement with Expansion Québec in order to occupy business premises at the Québec Government Office in London. A world leader in performance-related media solutions platforms, Acquisio is helping marketing specialists to purchase, monitor, manage, optimize and produce reports focusing on their media placements in all networks. “Our presence in London represents another step toward the development of our business on the international scene. Expansion Québec is offering us not only space in the heart of London but also advice and an outstanding knowledge network,” Martin Le Sauteur said.

Established in 2011 by the Québec government, Expansion Québec is a non-profit organization whose services complement those offered by the overall network of Québec representatives abroad.

In addition to the new offices, Expansion Québec maintains offices in New York, Dakar, Ouagadougou, Sao Paulo and San Mateo. Expansion Québec relies on the existing network of its partner Entreprise Rhône-Alpes International (ERAI) comprising
24 business offices and is aiming by 2015 to open 14 Québec business centres. Businesses in the Rhône-Alpes region and Québec will thus be able to take advantage of a network established in 40 cities.

“Business executives may perceive the process of capturing a new market abroad as being complex. Expansion Québec’s objective is to support them to ensure that they set up operations quickly, effectively and cheaply, thereby facilitating their growth at the international level. Since its inception, Expansion Québec has guided nearly
40 businesses,” François Bouilhac added.
